Some recordings of Gordon’s trance demonstrations and physical seances are available below. In these recordings, you can hear 4 of Gordon’s spirit guides speaking. They comprise:
- Choo Chow, an oriental guide that gave philosophy and teachings
- Paddy, an Irish guide that trance clairvoyance (mediumship)
- Cuckoo, his child guide
- Light, a guide who spoke rarely but always on Christmas Day where he often gave predictions
We have a very rare recording of a physical séance from Stansted Hall from 1974. Most physical seances were not recorded due to the risks involved to the medium and we are extremely lucky that this one was. As a result, we can all hear what took place in one of Gordon’s physical seances where ectoplasm was produced.

Test Physical Séance 1974 (Choo Chow, Paddy & Cuckoo) (Good Quality) Download File
This test physical séance was held at the Arthur Findlay College, Stansted Hall on 15th November 1974. Reporters and photographers from Psychic News were in attendance. Ectoplasm flowed from Gordon and was photographed, and the séance was reported in Psychic News. Click here to read the report and see the pictures of ectoplasm. This recording is also unique in that three of Gordon’s guides (Choo Chow, Paddy and Cuckoo) can be heard speaking on the recording. The séance was recorded by Eric Williams with Gordon’s permission.
Trance Address from Choo Chow 1988 Download File
This is a trance address from Choo Chow, one of Gordon’s main spirit guides who gave philosophy and teaching. The spirituality contained in the address is wonderful and it is well worth listening to. Trance Address Excerpt from Paddy Download File
This is a part of a trance address from Paddy, one of Gordon’s main spirit guides. Paddy was an Irish man who gave trance clairvoyance (mediumship). In this recording, Paddy is talking about a visit made by Gordon’s child guide Cuckoo to the place of work of one of the audience members. The humour in the recording is very amusing and uplifting. The date of the recording is not known but is thought to be pre-1990.
Christmas Day Trance Address 1989 (Light) Download File
This was recorded at Longton Spiritualist Church on 25th December 1989. Every year, Gordon would do a Christmas Day Trance Address at Longton Spiritualist Church where his guide Light would speak and often make prophecies for the year ahead. Light spoke only rarely and mainly at the Christmas Day service.

This was recorded at Longton Spiritualist Church on 25th December 1989. Every year, Gordon would do a Christmas Day Trance Address at Longton Spiritualist Church where his guide Light would speak and often make prophecies for the year ahead. This is the last recording of Light made on Christmas Day in 1992 less than a month before Gordon passed. In this recording, Light prophesies the passing of Gordon and the end of Longton church at its then location.
